TISB is the school that most Sarjapur Road villa buyers ask about first, and the one that is genuinely close to Whispering Hues. Google Maps gave about 3 minutes and 1.3 km from the project pin to the school's NAFL Valley address when we measured on a Saturday evening in October 2026. For anyone researching villas near TISB, Bangalore, that is the headline. The details below cover the school itself, how the route works and where the proximity helps less than it appears.

Distance and route to TISB
The route runs along Ramnaikanahalli Road and the Ramnaikanahalli–Kathriguppe road, joining the Varthur–Sarjapur road near Dommasandra. Google Maps recorded about 3 minutes and 1.3 km at a Saturday evening reading.
| Measure | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Drive time | about 3 min | Google Maps, Sat evening, Oct 2026 |
| Distance | 1.3 km | Google Maps |
| Developer's indicative time | about 6 min | sales presenter |
| Address on Maps | NAFL Valley Circle, Sarjapur–Marathahalli Rd, near Dommasandra | Google Maps |
Weekday morning traffic near NAFL Valley Circle is heavier than a Saturday evening, so budget more than three minutes. If a school bus picks up from several lanes, the developer's 6-minute estimate is more realistic.
What TISB teaches
TISB's website (tisb.org, checked 17 October 2026) lists a co-educational school with these stages: Early Years (Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten), Primary Years Grades 1 to 5, Middle Years Grades 6 to 8, Cambridge IGCSE in Grades 9 and 10, and the IB Diploma Programme in Grades 11 and 12. The website shows a Primary Years Programme logo but does not spell out the programme in the text we reviewed, so confirm directly what is offered in Grades 1 to 8 before you rely on it.
The school was founded in 2000 and states a 140-acre campus at NAFL Valley, Whitefield–Sarjapur Road, near Dommasandra Circle. It lists more than 320 boarding students. For comparison with other international options, see best international schools near Sarjapur Road.
Boarding, transport and admissions
TISB offers both day and boarding places. A family in Gunjur would typically choose day school, but the boarding option helps if parents travel for work and want the child to have a weeknight routine on campus. The page we reviewed does not describe school transport, so ask the school whether buses serve Gunjur and Ramnaikanahalli Road.
Admissions details from the website:
- Open Mornings run from January to April.
- Applications are accepted throughout the year, subject to grade-level availability.
- Prospective families can attend an open morning or fill an enquiry form and book an appointment first.
- An Admissions Policy PDF is linked; the entrance requirements and age rules sit on other pages, so read them there.
- Contact: admission@tisb.ac.in, and a phone line listed on the site (+91 80 6723 5900 in the footer).
We do not quote fees. TISB sets them by grade and year, and they are not stated on the pages we reviewed. Ask for the current schedule, and ask what is billed on top of tuition. For general timelines, see our school admission guide.
What a three-minute school changes at home
A very short trip means a Grade 6 child can attend morning practice and still return for breakfast, and a Grade 11 Diploma student can stay in the library until evening without a long ride home. It also means grandparents or helpers can collect when parents are in meetings. These are real quality-of-life gains, and a common reason families pay a villa premium to live at this end of the corridor.
It is not a guarantee of a seat. TISB and other schools in the area weigh grade-level availability and their own assessments. If your child's grade is full, the next options within ten minutes are Oakridge, Inventure Academy and Greenwood High.
