The store is on the western side of the belt, in the direction of Carmelaram and the Wipro and RGA Tech Park area, rather than towards Dommasandra.

Because the route partly follows Gunjur Road, you can sometimes avoid the worst of the main-road queue. Try it at different hours before you trust a single reading.
Why it matters for a villa household
Whispering Hues is planning a lot of sport inside the gates: a tennis court, cricket pitch, skating rink, half basketball court, badminton, squash and table tennis, plus a yoga deck and outdoor gym (proposed, per the project's amenity list). If you buy into that, you will need gear: racquets, shoes, skates, bicycles. A well-stocked sports store within 25 minutes is a practical advantage over a long trip into the city. What we verified, and what we did not
We confirmed the store's existence and location through the Google listing. A directory also places a Decathlon at Survey 96/1, Ambalipura Sarjapur Road. We could not verify opening hours from a current official source; one blog lists 8 am to 9 pm for a different store, which we do not rely on. Check hours on Google or Decathlon's own channels, and do not assume a specific product is in stock.
Best times to go
Weekday mornings are calmest for a sports store. Weekends, particularly Sunday afternoon, tend to be busy at any large-format retailer. Combine the visit with other errands in the Carmelaram direction, such as a stop near the railway station or Wipro corridor, to make the 23-minute drive worthwhile.
What else is nearby for sport and play
Clubs and academies exist along Sarjapur Road, but we have not verified specific ones, so we do not name them. Making the run worthwhile
Because the drive is 23 minutes each way, a good habit is to batch purchases. Buy school sports kit, cycling accessories, swimwear and shoes in one trip, and check sizes in store rather than ordering several variants. Growing children outgrow shoes quickly, so a store you can reach and return to matters more than the price tag on any single item.
If you ride, the store is a practical place to get a bicycle serviced or helmets fitted before using the walkway and open spaces planned inside the community. If you play cricket, tennis or basketball, the proposed courts and pitch at Whispering Hues would need kit, and the Sarjapur Road store is the most convenient verified source we found. Orders by delivery are an alternative, and we did not test delivery radius to Gunjur.
Putting it together
Choose Gunjur if you want space and in-community sport, and plan to make a monthly gear run. Do not expect a sports store at walking distance.
