Soul Space Spirit is the Bellandur mall many East Bengaluru families still call "Centro" or simply the Central mall, and buyers looking at Gunjur often ask whether it is a realistic weekend destination. Google Maps measured about 53 minutes and 15.4 km from the NVT Whispering Hues pin on Saturday evening, 17 October 2026, routed via NH 44. The Google listing shows 4.0 from 17,998 reviews. This guide is one of our notes on villas near malls on Sarjapur Road.
Name confusion: Spirit, Centro, Central
The same building appears under three names. Google lists "Soul Space Spirit" on Outer Ring Road, Bellandur, and a separate search for "Central Mall Bellandur" resolved to the same complex ("Soul Space Spirit Central Mall") at roughly the same coordinates, one minute apart in drive time. Central, a Pantaloons Group department store, is a tenant inside the complex. "Centro" is a search label we used and is not a name we could verify; we use the listed name. Our note on the Central Mall Bellandur search takes the angle of what to expect from the department store itself.
Soul Space Spirit is also the name of a residential project by Soul Space Projects, so be careful when reading property listings that use the name.
What is inside
Third-party guides describe a large complex with a Central department store across four floors, a Crossword bookstore, a PVR cinema, and a food mix that includes KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Cafe Coffee Day, Toss Food Lounge and Panchavati Gaurav. A Provident Housing mall guide also lists global fashion names and separate parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers. An LBB feature lists a bowling alley, a gaming arena and a 7D entertainment zone. Tenants rotate, so confirm before a special trip.
This is the main reason families make the long drive: the cinema and entertainment options give the mall a purpose beyond shopping.

Source: Google Maps, measured October 2026. Bellandur itself was about 45 minutes in the same measurement, so the final stretch on the Outer Ring Road adds a few more.
We would not describe this as a casual trip. The Outer Ring Road around Bellandur is one of the busiest roads in the city on weekday evenings. A Sunday morning departure or a late-evening return changes the picture.
Best times and practical notes
Go on a weekday afternoon, or Sunday before lunch, if you want a calmer visit. Avoid the Friday evening crush. Plan a cinema booking in advance and leave enough time for the return leg.
On transport, one listing places the nearest metro station, Central Silk Board, about 6.8 km away along the Outer Ring Road; we did not verify the figure and have not measured it. For most households here, the car is the realistic option.
What is closer for daily needs
Do not choose a villa based on this mall. For routine shopping, the Confident centres are about 19 to 21 minutes away and Forum The Prestige City about 23. For sports gear, the Decathlon store is about 23 minutes. If you work in the Bellandur tech corridor, this mall may sit on your commute, which changes the maths; see villas near Bellandur tech parks.
Planning a day around it
Families who make the trip often treat it as a full outing: a late-morning arrival, a film, a meal, and a return after the evening rush has eased. Teenagers tend to favour the bowling and gaming options listed by the LBB feature; adults tend to favour the department store and the food mix. Whatever the plan, book the cinema first and build the rest around the show time.
One practical tip is to avoid combining the trip with a weekday office run if your route does not already pass Bellandur. The Outer Ring Road stretch around the mall is known for slow-moving traffic, and the return journey to Gunjur is the part that most often runs long. Keep the children's snacks in the car.
An honest summary
If you value a big cinema-and-department-store day out every few weeks, 53 minutes is acceptable for many families. If you would be going weekly, it is a heavy tax on your time. Whispering Hues offers 2,112 or 2,368 sq ft plots with a private backyard and terrace and a planned clubhouse, so it is built around staying home more, not around mall access. Prices are tentative (25 September 2026 price sheet) and the project is at EOI stage.
