It returned Total Mall at 97, HAL Old Airport Road, Ramagiri, with a Google rating of 4.0 from 773 reviews. Two different "Totals"
Two separate retail businesses carry the name, and search engines blur them. One is Total Mall on Old Airport Road, a multi-storey retail and entertainment complex. The other is TOTAL, a hypermarket run by Jubilant Retail, which a 2008 press release described as opening on Sarjapur Road next to the Springfields apartments. More recent coverage lists TOTAL stores in several parts of Bengaluru, including Sarjapur Road and Old Airport Road.
We did not verify whether the Sarjapur Road hypermarket still trades under the same format or hours, and we have no Google Maps measurement for it. If your plans depend on it, check its current listing and call ahead.
The measured distance
The Old Airport Road Total Mall is far from Gunjur. Google Maps put it at 16.4 km and about 1 hour 1 minute from the Whispering Hues pin on a Saturday evening, routed via Varthur Main Road. Rating shown: 4.0 from 773 reviews (October 2026).

That is a cross-city journey, not a neighbourhood errand. For comparison, Soul Space Spirit in Bellandur was about 53 minutes away and the Whitefield malls about an hour.
Is it worth the trip?
For most Whispering Hues households, no, unless you have a specific reason. Total Mall on Old Airport Road is on the way towards Indiranagar and Domlur, so it fits someone commuting that way; it is out of the way for a weekend run from Gunjur. Better matched options are closer: Forum The Prestige City at 23 minutes and the Confident malls at about 19 to 21 minutes.
What we could not verify
We did not find a current official tenant list for either Total property in the sources we checked. We do not state anchor stores, cinema or parking for them. If you are planning a visit, use the mall's official channels or a recent Google listing.
How to check a "Total Mall" claim in a listing
When a brochure or portal page says a project is "near Total Mall", run through a short checklist. First, find the address given. Old Airport Road is on the other side of the city from Gunjur, while a Sarjapur Road hypermarket would be nearer the Kodathi and Carmelaram stretch. Second, ask for the distance in kilometres and for the time of day it was measured. Third, put the project pin and the mall pin into Google Maps yourself and note the route Google chooses.
For Whispering Hues, the measured route to the Old Airport Road mall runs through Varthur Main Road, which is also the corridor used for Whitefield trips. If your work or family is in Indiranagar, Domlur or Old Airport Road, that corridor will be part of your life anyway, and the mall becomes a natural stop. If not, it is simply a long drive.
Better ways to use this information
Use the distance as a sanity check, not a selling point. A villa buyer should know that the name "Total" in Sarjapur Road searches may lead to a place that is an hour away. When browsing listings that describe a villa as "near Total Mall", ask which Total they mean and measure it from the plot yourself. The same caution applies to the Market Square Mall question, where we also could not confirm the location.
