Candor International School shows up in searches for "schools near Sarjapur Road", but on the map it is not near Whispering Hues at all. Google Maps gave about 1 hour 31 minutes and 27.1 km on a Saturday evening in October 2026, via Chandapura–Dommasandra Road, to the school's address on Begur–Koppa Road, off Bannerghatta Road, near Electronic City. We include it because families ask, and because being clear about distance is part of being useful. A daily run of this length is not realistic for a school child.
If you are choosing a school for a villa in Gunjur, start with the schools pillar. If Candor is already in your plans, read on.
The numbers
| Measure | Figure | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Drive time | about 1 hr 31 min | Google Maps, Sat evening, Oct 2026 |
| Distance | 27.1 km | Google Maps |
| Route | Chandapura–Dommasandra Road | Google Maps |
| Developer's indicative time | not listed | sales presenter |
Ninety-one minutes one way is three hours a day on the road, before any delay. Even with a bus, a child would leave home in the dark for most of the year. That is the reason we advise against it as a day school for Gunjur residents.
What Candor offers
Candor's website (candorschool.edu.in, checked 17 October 2026) lists the IB Primary Years Programme, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE, the IB Diploma Programme and Cambridge AS/A levels; its menu also lists NIOS. The site describes a 25-acre campus billed as India's first green campus, with an organic vegetable farm and a dairy farm.
On residence, the school offers on-campus boarding, with weekly and regular options for Grades 5 to 12. The page did not describe day-student arrangements or transport. Admissions run through an online enquiry form and campus tour bookings, and the site promoted admissions for the 2026-27 year with an open house when we looked. Phone numbers listed were +91 77608 06868, +91 77602 99992 and +91 77603 99993.
We do not quote fees. Residential schools typically charge boarding separately, so ask for a full breakdown.
Who might still choose Candor
Three situations make sense:
- The child is entering Grade 5 or above and the family wants a residential school, with the villa as the weekend and holiday home.
- A sibling is already enrolled, and weekly boarding keeps the household on one routine.
- The family values the particular curriculum mix, such as the IB Primary Years followed by IGCSE and the Diploma, and a campus with farm-based learning.
In that pattern, the 27 km distance matters at weekend pick-up, not daily. A Friday evening collection at about 90 minutes is manageable for many families; a Monday-to-Friday run is not.
Closer alternatives
If boarding is the goal, TISB lists day and boarding places about 3 minutes from the project, and its site mentions more than 320 boarders. Indus is reported to offer boarding, though we could not verify it from the school's own site. For day schools, Greenwood High, Inventure and Oakridge are all within about 6 minutes. The villa as a boarding-family base
Parents of boarders think differently about a home. The big questions become: is there space for the child's friends at the weekend, can grandparents stay, and is there room for the child to unwind? Whispering Hues plans a private backyard, a private terrace and a media room in each villa, plus a kids' play area, a cricket pitch and a skating rink in the community. All are proposed; see amenities and family-friendly villas.
The project is at EOI stage. Bluebell is sold as 5 BHK (4 bedrooms plus a media room); Carnation is 4 BHK. Tentative basic prices on the 25 September 2026 sheet are Rs 6.80 to 7.05 crore and Rs 5.96 to 6.21 crore. The RERA number and possession date are not yet published.
