"Near Wipro" is a slippery phrase on Sarjapur Road because the company has more than one site. The corporate office at Doddakannelli and the SEZ campus near Kodathi are different places with very different drive times from Gunjur. If you are looking at villas near the Wipro corporate office, here is what Google Maps showed from NVT Whispering Hues: about 42 minutes for 12.0 km, measured on a Saturday evening in October 2026. Which Wipro site is which
The corporate office is on Sarjapur-Marathahalli Road at Doddakannelli, Bengaluru 560035. Google lists it as a corporate office with a 4.5 rating from 468 reviews (October 2026). Wipro's own filings have long listed a Doddakannelli location on Sarjapur Road (Wipro, Details of Office Locations, FY 2016-17), and a 2026 directory describes it as the headquarters. We did not find confirmation of current headcount, so none is quoted.
The SEZ, near Kodathi, is the larger campus reported in 2018 as a 50-acre development (Business Today, August 2018). If someone tells you they work at "Wipro Sarjapur", ask which one.

Note that Google's chosen roads differ from the SEZ route: this one goes through the Ambalipura and Sarjapur-Marathahalli stretch, which is a heavily used commuter section. The developer's indicative "Wipro, Sarjapur" time is 14 minutes (lib/data, sales presenter); that clearly refers to a different pin from this corporate office, so do not read the two together.
Where it slows
The Ambalipura-to-Doddakannelli stretch is a denser, more built-up part of Sarjapur Road. We did not time individual sections, but expect slower movement near the commercial strips and junctions in the morning and evening. The practical advice is to leave 15 minutes earlier or later than the office rush.
Alternatives and timing
- Check the shortcut with your team. Google also uses the Gunjur-Doddakannelli road for nearby campuses such as RGA; ask colleagues if it works for you.
- Hybrid days. At three or four office days a week the commute is manageable.
- Cab pools. Wipro employees on Sarjapur Road often coordinate pools; ask your manager rather than assuming.
- Metro. None serves Gunjur today. The Outer Ring Road Blue Line is under construction and unlikely to help this particular commute.
Reverse-commute advantage: limited. Morning flow is generally towards Bellandur and Doddakannelli, as you travel.
How Whispering Hues fits
If your desk is at the corporate office, Gunjur is a commute you can do, but not a short one. The case for the villa is the home: a private backyard, terrace, a media room and a first-floor lounge that can be a quiet work area on remote days (see villas for IT professionals in Bangalore). For families, Greenwood High is about 2 minutes away, TISB about 3 and Inventure about 6 (Google Maps, October 2026).

Choosing between the two Wipro sites
If your role could be posted at either site, treat the SEZ as the better match for Gunjur. The difference is nearly 20 minutes each way, which is over 150 hours a year at 200 working days. Ask your manager which site your team will use, and in writing if you can. The corporate office remains workable for hybrid schedules, but it is not the strongest Gunjur commute.
