Most people who ask about IT hubs near Sarjapur Road are really asking one question: where can I work and still live somewhere with space? This page is the neighbourhood-level map. It groups the employment clusters, says what each is like, and sends you to the detailed articles rather than repeating them.
The measurements come from Google Maps, from the Whispering Hues pin at Ramnaikanahalli Road, Hegondanahalli, on the evening of Saturday 17 October 2026. Weekday peaks will differ. This is a cluster article under luxury living in East Bangalore; if you want the per-campus deep dive, go to villas near IT parks on Sarjapur Road.
Four employment clusters
East Bengaluru's jobs sit in four clusters, and the cluster matters more than the individual campus. The nearer ones are on Sarjapur Road itself; the biggest concentration is on the Outer Ring Road; Whitefield is the old IT address; and Electronic City is the far south-east.
- Sarjapur Road belt: Wipro SEZ near Kodathi, Wipro's Doddakannelli office, RGA Tech Park at Carmelaram.
- Outer Ring Road (Bellandur to Marathahalli): RMZ Ecoworld, Ecospace, Embassy TechVillage, Cessna Business Park, Global Tech Park, Prestige Tech Park.
- Whitefield: ITPB (ITPL), Brigade Tech Park, Sigma Soft Tech Park.
- Electronic City: Infosys and the Phase 1 campuses.
One table, all clusters
The table gives the Google Maps drive time and distance for one representative campus per cluster, plus the range. Prestige Tech Park's Google result is an access road rather than the campus, so its time is approximate.
| Cluster | Representative campus | Drive time | Distance | Range in cluster |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sarjapur Road belt | Wipro SEZ, Kodathi | about 23 min | 8.3 km | 23 to 42 min |
| Outer Ring Road | Embassy TechVillage | about 42 min | 11.8 km | 38 to 45 min |
| Whitefield | ITPB (ITPL) | about 59 min | 12.8 km | 40 to 59 min |
| Electronic City | Infosys, Phase 1 | about 1 hr 15 min | 21.7 km | not compared |
For the developer's own indicative times (for example Wipro Sarjapur about 14 minutes, ITPL about 41), see the location page. They are shorter than our Saturday-evening readings; treat the gap as a range.
What each cluster is like
The Sarjapur Road belt is the easiest from Gunjur and the least congested at the destination end. It suits people whose employers are here, and hybrid workers. RGA Tech Park showed a Google rating of 4.4 from 2,751 reviews, and Wipro Limited's Sarjapur office 4.5 from 468 reviews (October 2026), which tells you little beyond that they are established.
The Outer Ring Road has the largest density of offices and the worst peak traffic. Embassy TechVillage showed 4.4 from 18,491 reviews and Ecospace 4.2 from 22,362. The 40-plus minutes is realistic only off-peak; at 9 am it will be more.
Whitefield is reachable via Varthur Road, which is the slowest link in the area. ITPB showed 4.4 from 26,592 reviews. Read living near Whitefield for the trade-offs.
Electronic City is a long diagonal. Treat it as a hybrid-only commute from here.
Making the commute work
Four things change the answer more than the choice of campus.
- Hours. Leaving before 7:30 am or after 10 changes a 45-minute run into something closer to 30, though we have not measured that.
- Hybrid days. Two or three office days a week makes any of the first three clusters workable.
- Shuttles. Ask your employer whether it runs shuttles from the Sarjapur or Varthur side.
- The Carmelaram station. It was about 27 minutes by road from the pin; check current train timings with the railway before building a routine around it.

Next step
Choose your cluster first, then test the route at your own hours before shortlisting a home. To walk the site and try the roads, book a visit or WhatsApp +91 80509 73051. Whispering Hues is at EOI stage; a visit request does not reserve a villa.
