If your office is in Electronic City, NVT Whispering Hues is probably not the villa for you on commute grounds, and it is better to hear that early. Google Maps showed about 1 hour 15 minutes for 21.7 km from the project pin to Infosys Building 12 in Electronic City Phase 1, measured on a Saturday evening in October 2026. People searching villas near Electronic City deserve a straight answer: this is the longest drive in our set. For the campuses where Gunjur works better, see villas near IT parks on Sarjapur Road.
Villas near Electronic City: what the measurement covers
We used the Infosys Limited Building 12 pin, Gate 4, Hosur Road, Phase I, Electronic City, as the reference (Google rating 4.6, 211 reviews, October 2026). Electronic City itself is a large industrial and technology area on Hosur Road with several phases and many employers, so your own gate could be 10 minutes either side of this. We did not collect campus size or tenant data from press, so we make no claim about employers.

The route
Google suggested Huskur Road. That tells you something: the route is not a simple highway run from Gunjur, and the 21.7 km can include narrower stretches that are sensitive to weather, school hours and construction. We have not tested weekday peaks, and neither should you assume this will be faster than it looks.
Metro and other options
The Yellow Line between RV Road and Bommasandra opened on 11 August 2025 and serves the Electronic City area (Deccan Herald). Peak frequency was about 13 minutes from late December 2025 per a December 2025 report; check BMRCL for the current timetable. But Gunjur has no metro station, and getting from here to a Yellow Line station would itself mean a long drive. So the metro does not solve this commute.
Company shuttles from Sarjapur Road to Electronic City exist at some employers; ask HR. Without one, you are driving or cabbing.
Reverse commute and flexible work
We have not measured weekday directional flow on this route, and Google's 1 hr 15 suggests the roads are far from empty. If your employer offers hybrid, remote or compressed weeks, a two-day office pattern turns a hard commute into an occasional one.
When Whispering Hues can still make sense
Be realistic about three cases.
- You are hybrid, with two or three office days. The villa's home-working space (media room, first-floor family lounge) matters more than distance. See villas for IT professionals in Bangalore.
- A partner works on the Sarjapur or Whitefield side, and you are the exception. The household maximises schools: Greenwood High about 2 minutes, TISB about 3, Inventure Academy about 6 (Google Maps, October 2026).
- You are open to changing jobs, and the neighbourhood is the priority.
It does not make sense if you must be in Electronic City five days a week and want a 30-minute commute. A home on Hosur Road or Bannerghatta side will do that better.

A fairer comparison for Electronic City staff
If you hold a role in Electronic City and are choosing among villa belts, compare on three axes: minutes to your gate on your actual schedule, schools for your children, and the number of other employers within reach if you change jobs. A home on the Hosur Road or Bannerghatta side will usually win the first, while Gunjur wins on the second for families looking at Greenwood High, TISB and Inventure Academy. On the third, Electronic City is a strong job cluster, so staying near it keeps options open. Weigh these honestly rather than letting the villa drive the choice.
If you do decide to proceed despite the distance, treat the first month as a trial: log the actual door-to-desk time on each office day. A two-week log gives you the real average and the real worst day, and makes the decision about the next five years factual rather than hopeful.
